The name? Well it's a inside joke and best explained in Dutch but here we go:

Who's that arie guy you are referring to and ain't it ariel ext?
It's Arie Lext, my online nickname; again best in Dutch it's fonetic for Arelext. Arie is me, me is Arie though nowadays I also listen to named derived from Lightyears (my main toon in World of warcraft). Light (for men); lighty (for women); lightnub (for friends); Lightbulb (for me); naked donkey god (for ppl that know) and mr. overheal (for ppl that want to join ravens)

Live in a nutshell

Born on the 21st of april 1979 in Rotterdam, the netherlands
Lived in Rotterdam till the age of 24
- Attended the Rotterdamse Scholen Vereniging (kleuterschool & lagereschool)
- Started with Atheneium at the Sint Montfort College Rotterdam
- Due to total lack of skills finished the school at HAVO level with a 9.6 for physics; and strait 5.5s for the languages ;) (based on a max score of 10)
- Started with Electronics at the Hogeschool van Rotterdam
- Quit after 6 months due to lack of interest; though i did get all points (with a 5.5 average)
Studied Media Technology in Utrecht/Amersfoort
- Almost quit after 2 years again due to lack of interest
  - Interim study at CMG in Rotterdam focussing on Java and Java 3D
  - Proved my point at the VPRO in Hilversum by creating a full system for broadcasting radio 24/7 on 9 different channels; from idea to hardware and implementation in MMBase (java)
  - previous point and enthosiasm for it made me graduate as Beng at the Hogeschool van Utrecht (missed just 1 point to make it cum claude :p)
Moved to Amersfoort
- Continued working at the VPRO for 3 years as Java programmer/ Front-end Developer / Media programmer (I'm versitaile baby)
- VPRO had to let me go, i had to let them go (pain from both sides) because they couldn't offer me a fulltime, unlimited contract.
Started working at the people's valley, Amsterdam
- Started as a Java programmer for 1½ years
- Switched to front-end and found "home" at work.
  - Got promoted to senior front-end programmer
    - Got promoted to team leader front-end
  - got demoted to senior front-end programmer (due to internal reorganisations)
  - Present day
